  • The opportunity to acquire prospective gold resource projects in Africa, and assure security of tenure, is often lost through failure to recognize and acknowledge the interests of local stakeholders.
  • The SMA strategy of creating operating vehicles for resource project acquisition and development, in partnership with local government entities, aligns its interest with local stakeholders.
  • The creation of Sovereign Mines of Guinea Ltd, with an initial 40% shareholding of the Republic of Guinea, is the first of these corporate partnerships for which the existing package of highly prospective Guinean gold projects has been secured.
